Note: !Quanah brought him back to Comanche Reservation near Fort Sill, OK in 1875. He was in his late teens then. He had been captured by the
Kiowa-Apaches in 1870. He lived as Quanah's foster son from
1875-1878 and then was returned to his widowed mother. In 1901 he
returned and was adopted by Quanah onto the Comanche reservation. (p.
