She had lived in Kendallville since 1974, coming from Huntertown. Mrs. Englehart was a homemaker. She also worked at Coast to Coast Hardware and Vordran's Hardware in Kendallville. Carol was a member of the Wayne Center United Methodist Church, Kendallville. She was born July 6, 1935, in Westfield, Pennsylvania to Robert L. and Ida Wilma (Merritt) Weeks. On June 5, 1954, in Fort Wayne, she married Robert E. "Bob" Englehart. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2013. Surviving are three sons, Mark R. (Kathy) Englehart of Kendallville, Michael E. (Lynn) Englehart of Kendallville, and Matthew D. Englehart of Avilla; a daughter, Marcy (John) Yuska of Kendallville; eight grandchildren, Brandi (Brian) Morrison of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Heather (Derek) Stempa of Shawano, Wisconsin, Jennifer Yuska of Fort Wayne, Wendy Englehart of Fort Wayne, Carlee Englehart of Fort Wayne, Valerie (Joel) Spaw of Waterloo, Drew (Paula Elkins) Englehart of New Haven, and Haley (Kyle Orr) Englehart of Kendallville; ten great-grandchildren, Madison Morrison, Tyler Morrison, River Stempa, Brynlee Stempa, Trenton Sturgis, Kaidyn Sturgis, Korbin Davidson, Aidyn Elkins, Maxyne Englehart, and Ruelyn Orr; and three sisters, Mary Alice Gurnsey of Galeton, Pennsylvania, Frances M. Englehart of Huntertown, and Joy Truby of Hyattsville, Maryland. She was also preceded in death by her parents and twin grandchildren, Jace and Courtney Englehart. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Rev. Ken Walker and Rev. Gene Flickinger officiating. Burial will be in the Perry Township Cemetery, Huntertown. Honorary pallbearers are, Jim Dazey, Dennis Englehart, Gary Englehart, Louis Alday, John Clifton, and Bob Ulch. Active pallbearers are Mark Englehart, Michael Englehart, Matthew Englehart, John Yuska, Drew Englehart, Joel Spaw, and Kyle Orr. Calling is Monday, April 20, 2015, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Preferred memorials are to the Wayne Center United Methodist Church.
