a. Note:   Earl Floyd Arundale Earl Floyd Arundale, only son of the late David and Jennie Arundale, was born May 15, 1889, at the farm home 4 miles northeast of Lisbon. When he was 6 years of age, his parents moved to a farm three quarters of a mile west of Lisbon where he resided at the time of his death, May 13, 1934. His father preceded him in death eleven years ago, and his mother eight years ago. His sister Mrs. Grayce Hutsinpiller, will survives. Floyd as he was known, had been in poor health for two years, suffering from a nervous disorder, the frequent attacks which caused him to feel he would never be entirely well again. Being of cheerful disposition, which together with his efficiency in whatever he undertook, won for him a wide circle of friends who were severely shocked at hearing of his untimely death, which occurred dying a moment of discouragement due to his poor health. The very large concourse of friends gathered at his sister's on, May 15, to pay their last respects to the departed, showed in what high esteem he was held. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. A. R. Blegen of Lisbon, assisted by the Rev. T. J. Knutson of Ottawa who preached the funeral sermon and the Rev. Nils Klungtvedt of the West Lisbon church, who closed with prayer. The Misses Agnes Olson and Gladys Michaelson sang, "The Lights of Home," and "Does Jesus Care," accompanied by Miss Olga Holland. Pallbearers were Rudolph Osmon, Aurora, Grant Johnson, Morris, Tracey Skinner, Na-au-say, Henry Orton, Harry Morrison and Clarence Ness, of Lisbon. Internment was in the Lisbon Cemetery. Mr. Arundale was secretary of the cemetery association at the time of his death, and was very interested in the improvement of the cemetery grounds. - Kendall County Record (ILLINOIS), May 1934 (Wednesday) is NOT responsible for the content of the GEDCOMs uploaded through the WorldConnect Program.
