a. Note:   Wellsboro Gazette of Apr 19, 1945, p2 has: Pfc. Donald Swan, Area Soldier Is Decorated With the 5th Army in Italy Pfc. Donald A. Swan, husband of Mrs. Kathryn H. Swan, of Elkland, has been cited by cited by the 87th Mountain Regiment of 'the 10th "Mountaineer" Division, has been awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for actual participation in combat against the enemy on the 5th Army front In Italy. Standards for the badge are high. The decoration is awarded to the infantry soldier who has proved his fighting ability in combat. The handsome badge consists of silver rifle set against a background of infantry blue, enclosed in a silver wreath. * * * Barry (Butch, Louise) Swan CORNING | Barry (Butch, Louie) Swan, age 52 of Lindley, NY, passed away on April 20, 2002. He was employed at Corning Incorporated (Fall Brook Plant). He is survived by his wife Regina (Jeannie) M. Swan. He was born October 15, 1949 to Donald R. Swan and Corinne (Herrick) Swan. He is survived by our brothers Richard (Betty) Swan of Corning, NY, Larry (Karen) Swan, Roger (Patricia) Swan and Jeffrey (Tina) Swan all of Lindley, NY and a sister Candy Swan of Corning, NY; mother-in-law, Laura Dibble, sister-in-laws, Laura (Ronnie) Jelliff, Ruth (Mike) Neff and brother-in-law, Roderick (Theresa) Dibble; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his mother in 1998 and great nephew in 1994. Calling hours will be at Acly-Stover Funeral Home, 327 East Second St., Corning on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow services in Presho Cemetery, Lindley, NY.
