a. Note:   Wellsboro Agitator of Nov 9, 1927, p1 has: "FUNERAL OF E C BLACKWELL. News of the Week From Nelson and Vicinity. Nelson. Nov 7—The funeral of the late E C Blackwell was held at the family residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. Hamilton, pastor of the Presbyterian church assisted by Rev. Miss Mabel Barker, pastor of the Methodist church and by the Rev. Marquis, a former pastor of the Methodist church; burial in the Nelson cemetery." * * * Wellsboro Agitator of Nov. 2, 1927, p1 has: Death of Enoch C. Blackwell. Enoch C. Blackwell, proprietor of Blackwell's Mills, of Nelson, died at 11:20 o'clock Sunday night, at the Sayre hospital. He had been a patient at the hospital for three weeks. Born in Nelson, 60 years ago, Mr. Blackwell had for many years taken an outstanding part in borough affairs. Several times he had been elected to village offices and at the time of his death was assessor. He was a prominent member of the Masonic fraternity. Surviving his death are his wife, Mrs. Lena Preston Blackwell, and two sons, Enoch Blackwell, of Elkland, Pa , and Preston Blackwell, Of Nelson, and one daughter, Ruth Blackwell at home. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon; burial in the Nelson cemetery. The Elkland Lodge, F. & A.
