a. Note:   Wellsboro Gazette of June 24, 1998, p6 has: E. JANE OLMSTED E. Jane Olmsted, 79, of Wellsboro died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at the Green Home, Wellsboro. Born May 15,1919, in Delmar Township she was the daughter of Leonard R. and Damia Maynard Ashley. She was a telephone operator for over four years and operated a dairy farm in Shippen Township with her husband. She was a member of the Wellsboro United Methodist Church and the national and local AARP. Preceding her in death was her husband, Richard G. Olmsted on Sept 1, 1969. Surviving are one son, Bernard H. Olmsted of Winchester, Va., three sisters, Neva Beckhorn of Valois, N.Y., Corene Slocum and Joanna Ashley, both of Big Flats, NY., three grandchildren; one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held Tuesday, June 23, at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Wellsboro, with funeral services following with the Rev Fred Hickok officiating. Burial was made in the West Branch Cemetery in Delmar Township.
