Note: EMMA A. COOPER Emma Atwell Cooper, 82, of Middlebury Center, R.R., died Saturday, July 29,1995 at home. She was born Aug. 9, 1912 at Knoxville, the daughter of Volney W. and Abbie Gee Atwell. She was a homemaker and mother, a member of Little Marsh United Methodist Church, Valley Grange # 876, Academy Corners, the Tioga County Historical Society, and a former member of Wellsboro Chapter of the D.A.R. Surviving other than her husband of 62 years, Earl, are sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph E Cooper of Tarentum, Harry E. and Yvonne Cooper of Mehoopany; daughter and son-in-law, Gail Ann and Homer Knepp of Mohnton; sisters and brother-in-law, Loretta Head of Gainesville, Fla., Manetta and Marion Brooks of Jensen Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours were Sunday, July 30 at the family home, Middlebury Center. Funeral service was conducted on Monday, July 31 at the Little Marsh United Methodist Church, with the Rev Dorr Harrington officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville.
