Note: Wellsboro Gazette of Feb 15, 1984, p10 has: RAYMOND A KENNEDY Raymond A Kennedy, 81, of Oquaga Lake, Broome County, N. Y., formerly of RD 6 Wellsboro, died at 7 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 1984, in Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, N. Y., where he was taken after being stricken while visiting his sons. Born Dec. 26, 1902 in Wellsboro, he was a son of Isaac M [sic] Clara Francis Kennedy. He owned and operated a dairy farm m the Wellsboro area for many years and had a real estate office in Canisteo N. Y. for ten years. A member of the Wellsboro Area School Board for many years, he had served as its treasurer for 20 years. Mr. Kennedy was a member of the Middle Ridge United Methodist Church, RD Wellsboro, and a 50-year member of the Middle Ridge Grange. Surviving are his wife, the former Wilda Blackwell, four sons: Francis and Paul, both of Norwich, N. Y., Ward of Oquaga Lake, N. Y., and R. Mahlon, of Wellsboro; seven grandchildren, four great-grand children, and three nieces. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 1984, at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Wellsboro, with The Rev S Wade Stewart, a retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial was in Kennedyville Cemetery, Shippen Township, Tioga County. Friends were invited to call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 1984.
