Note: Wellsboro Gazette of Aug 21, 2002, p7 has: MARY W. KNOWLTON Mary W. Knowlton, 86, of Wellsboro, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro. Born March 2,1916, in Delmar Township, she was the daughter of Truman W. and Charlotte Orr Walbridge. She was a lifelong resident of Tioga County, a graduate of Elmira Business Institute and worked as Chief Clerk at Pennsylvania Department of Highways, later was employed as a bookkeeper for Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital and Wilkinson-Dunn. She was a member of the Stony Fork Baptist Church, and former member, along with her husband, of the Dairyman's League Corporation. She and her late husband operated a dairy farm for over 40 years. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Donald E. and Trish Knowlton of Wellsboro; sister, C. Lucile Walbridge of Hammondsport, N.Y.; brother and sister-in-law, Luther R. and L__y Walbridge, Sr. of Hammondsport, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Karen Knowlton of Red Lion and Jodi Knowlton of Danville, Va.; sister-in-law, Mrs. Wayne (Mary) Knowlton; former daughter-in-law, Linda Knowlton; nieces, nephews, LuAnn Rees, Sara Crosby, Luke Walbridge, Kent Knowlton, Garth Knowlton, Mary Ann Walker, Mary Kay Knowlton and Bonnie McKenney; several grand nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Services will be held Friday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Eugene A. Charsky officiating. Burial will be made at West Branch Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Green Free Library, 134 Main St., Wellsboro, Pa. 16901.
