Note:   =16656 has: <i>4/28/2016 7:58:00 PM </i><b>Ivan Gerald Angel <i>August 5, 1922 - April 27, 2016 </b></i> IRON STATION, N.C. - Ivan Gerald Angel, age 93, of 5390 Vesuvius Furnace Road in Iron Station N.C., died on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Mr. Angel was born August 5, 1922, in Bath, New York, to the late Charles B. and Alice Agor Angel. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, including Omaha Beach, and then later was assistant managing director at Great Western Winery. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Neal Angel of the home; four sons, Robert C. Angel and wife Junko of Columbia S.C., David I. Angel and wife Diane, of Troy, N.Y., Donald M. Angel and wife Laurie of Huntersville, N.C., and Michael J. Angel and wife Sandra of Reston, Va.; one brother, Rev. Lawrence Angel of Ohio; three sisters, Ruth Cahill and LeeRae Powell, both of Bath, N.Y., and Sandra Harvey of Sanderson, Fla.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Mitchellsville, New York. Memorials may be made to Wheeler United Methodist Church, 8855 Route 53, Wheeler, NY 14810. Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Angel family.
