a. Note:   WILLIAM D. EBERENZ William D. Eberenz, 81, of 301 South Main Street, Jersey Shore, died Sunday, March 27,1988 at the Jersey Shore Hospital. Born Feb. 9, 1907 in Wellsboro, he was the son of William B. and Helen Steele Eberenz. Retiring in 1971, he was a supervisor with the bridge and building department of the former New York Central Railroad. He was a member of the Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church where he was an elder and trustee, a life member of LaBelle Valee Masonic Lodge and the Jersey Shore Elks, and a former director of the Jersey Shore Young Men's Christian Association, the Boy Scout Council and Town Meeting. He and his wife, the former Helen Harding, observed their 51st wedding anniversary last June 25. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Nan E. Snyder of Hollidaysburg; a brother, John, and a sister, Mildred Jones, both of Corning, N.Y. A funeral was held today, Wednesday, March 30, at 2 p.m. at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home,1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore. The Rev. William Chancellor, his pastor, officiated. Burial was made in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. The family provided flowers.
