a. Note:   Wellsboro Gazette of May 28, 2003, p6 has: THURSTON JONES Thurston LaRue Jones, 71, of Bel Air, Md., died Thursday, May 8, 2003. Born Dec. 30, 1931 in Wellsboro, he was the son of Mable L. Jones and the late Thurston Jones. He graduated from Charleston High School, class of 1949. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force. Surviving besides his mother, are his wife, Sharon (Hackett) Jones of Bel Air, Md.; one daughter Tara Jones of Bel Air, Md.; two step-daughters, Linda (Richard) Hicks of Bell Air, Md., Sherry (David) Perell, of Missouri; two stepsons, Gary (Cindy) Lovell of Shortsville, Ricky (Nancy) Lovell of Florida; two brothers, Rev. Richard (Margie) Jones of Nova Scotia, Rev. Llewellyn (Clara) Jones of Moscow; two sisters, Peggy (Chuck) Hill of Denver, Co. and Gladys (Lewis) Fisher of Wellsboro; several step-grandchildren.
