a. Note:   ed away suddenly at home on Saturday, December 10, 2011. He was 70. Mr. Garretson was born June 19, 1941 in Doylestown, PA, the son of the late Charles W. Garretson, Sr. and Bertha Garretson. He worked as a Carpenter for Happ Construction of Doylestown for many years until moving to Delaware in 1990. He then went on to work for PHB Builders in Middletown, DE until his retirement. He was a Life Member of the Doylestown Fire Company and enjoyed carpentry, block work, and re-modeling work. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith H. Garretson in 2005; a great niece, Debbie Hodge; and 2 great nephews, Andy Dunn and Bobby Cunningham. He is survived by 2 brothers, Kenneth "Ken" Daniels and his wife, Marion "Mim" of Florida, and Charles W. "Butch" Garretson Jr. and his wife Trudy of Pennsylvania; a sister, Laura Jean Ott also of Pennsylvania; brother and sister-in-law, David and Virginia Hazlett of Clayton; nieces, Nancy Dunn and her husband, Larry of Clayton, Linda Hodge, Jennie Lear, Sandra Wieland, Tracy Oslund, and Christine Gray; 7 great nieces; and 7 great nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 12 noon in the Faries Funeral Chapel located at 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, where friends may call at 10 am. Burial will be held in Townsend Cemetery.
