Note: NY PFC US Army WW I; was reportedly gassed and never the same after he got home. Obituary for Roger F. CAPELS, died June 11, 1967 Roger F. CAPELS, 78, formerly of 1814 W. Genesee St., died yesterday at the Canandaigua Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Capels was veteran of World War I. He was a millwright at New Process Gear prior to his illness. He was a communicant of St. Brigidi's [sic] & St. Joseph Church. Mr. Capels is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Catherine REARDON and Mrs. Mary SCHUH; three brothers, Lawrence, Arthur, and William Capels, all of Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Harold E. Hoare Funeral Home, 1105 Willis Ave., and at 9 in St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church where a requiem high Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
