His first marriage was to Ann Henderson, by whom a daughter, Sarah Greer, who married Joseph Gruble. He married, second, Rachel Morton, by whom, issue, four: Thomas, James, Samuel and Rachel." (He died 17 2nd month 1738, according to Quarker records.)
