Ruby L. Hall, 86, of Kurtz died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 1998, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown, after an illness of several months. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker and attended Kurtz Nazarene Church. Born June 17, 1911, in Meade County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of William D. and Martha J. Ewers Murphy. On January 4, 1929, in Brownstown, she married Harry Hall, and he survives. Other survivors include a son, Jack Hall, Kurtz; three brother, Roy Murphy, Tyler, Texas, Ray Murphy, Seymour, and Robert Murphy, Brownstown; two sisters, Ruth Bedwell, Brownstown, and Jean Hadley, Columbus; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Schaffer; a grandchild, Jackie Hall; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Hall; and two brother, Doyle Murphy and Ralph Murphy. The Rev. David Fisher will conduct services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown, with burial in Kurtz Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. [Hadley.ftw]
