Source Information: Census Place Castor, Stoddard, Missouri Family History Library Film 1254737 NA Film Number T9-0737 Page Number 607A Email dated 11 Sep 2002 from LeAnn Kelley (rkelley@semo.net): Deeds for Robert Miller include Book A:305, Robert purchased 40 a. in Dec 1841 from Robert & Eliz. Glasscock, in S31 T26 R10. (One of David Cryts' sons, John J. Cryts, married Virginia Wilson whose mother was a Glasscock.) That section is about a mile east of where I live. My Cryts family then owned land in sections 33, 34 Twp 26 R10E, and across the road in Township 25. I live in S2, T25N R9E. My grandparents' farm extended across the road to Twp 26 N. I live on the township road division line. Robert & Catherine to Barbara Miller D:338, 14 Jan 1856; Lot SW 1/4, S30 T26 R10, 80 acres Robert Miller dec'd, by Catherine Miller to Seth Winston, 1867, K:208; S30 T26 R10 Robert Miller dec'd by Catherine Miller, admin. 15 Jan 1866 sold NW 1/4, SE 1/4 S30 T26 R10, 40 acres for $200. Pat Bibeau once heard that John and Robert's father was Joseph Miller. If memory serves, Lorena Eaker mentions a Joseph Miller that she can't place, but thinks he may belong to the Martin Miller line. Martin moved his family to Lawrence Co. (now Randolph Co.) AR. Descendants report that after his death there were deeds found in his home on sheepskins, but since they were written in German no one could translate them and they were burned. I think I also mentioned that Lorena thinks Martin may have been a brother to the Millers who settled on Whitewater River, but no proof. She also said they had a sister named Catherine who married a Link but Lorena couldn't find Catherine after they left NC. She theorizes that Catherine may be the Catherine "Lynch" found in MO records. If memory serves Catherine is part of John Link's family. John married Margaret Fulbright, another sister to Mary Cryts, Christena Taylor, and Catherine Bollinger.
Note: Alternate date of birth for Robert K. Miller is 5 Feb 1815, per handwritten family record pro
