I assume Roberts mother died and his father remarried a younger woman...1850 census...Mariah 13 and Andrew J or F 20 all born in MO. THe last 2 names I believe to be Roberts brother and sister from the first marriage. THese names came from an old Miller Bible of which I have part of the pages and can make out these names Maria Cristenah 5 Dec 1835 Nancy Sovina 14 Dec 1832 Francis Marion 4 Sep 1829 and Andrew Franklin 4 Sep 1829 (twins). Back to 1850 census - Louis Miller told me that Hannah Miller married a Hopkins which would be where your line comes in and that Sarah married Sam Hobbs had 2 sons Jess and Sol all dead Sarah could have been named Sarah Polly and it could be Silas Hobbs instead of Sam as Louie told me...Emily Miller was Jacobs wife she was born Tenn. Jacobs second wife according to Louie Miller was Mollie Sifford Hutly she was morphine addict and Jacob divorced her. no children this second marriage... I understand the Miller family didn't believe in slavery and tried to stay neutral - Robert was killed by a band of guerillas and the father before him was taken one night by the Union Army for questioning and never heard from again. These are family stories. I sent for Jacobs death cert and the informant was Jim Miller of Aid, MO. (must be Louie's father it states Jacobs father was John Miller b. Stoddard Co. MO maiden name of mother Barbra Pentruf b. Cape Co. MO...Louie told me Jacob and Henderson's father was named Joseph so I'm waiting to see My great-grandfather was Amos Bateson Miller and was a younger son of Robert Miller...Amos was out in Oklahoma territory and married Thursey CAtheine Dungan. When my grandmother Minnie Dallas Miller was about 3 years old Amos rode off to a vigilante committe meeting and never came back. I kind of believe he deserted my great grandmother for in 1892 my grandmother was 13 when he was hung and there were 1/2 brothers and 1/2 sisters by then and they said Amos had never been heard from again since leaving Oklahoma. My grandmother and great grandmother either didn't know anything of the Miller family or didn't want to know..."
