My father remembered his grandfather quite well. He remembers that he was sitting on the fence watching his grandfather harvesting hay when the horses were startled by something and started to try to run away. His grandfather ran to stop them & was cut by the blades of the thresher. He died from his wounds. Dad said it was a long hot ride to the Harold cemetery on the day that Jacob was buried. There is not a headstone for Jacob at the Harold cemetery but Dad insisted that that is where Jacob's body was laid to rest. Mary, his wife, is also buried there & she has a large headstone.
