Note: On Oct. 3, 1743 Francis Lamb age 54 son of Pearce Lamb affirmed regarding the bounds of a tract of land called Beckworth. He recalled about 28 years earlier when he was helping to get the frame of a house near the place in question and Edward Beck showed him a bounded tree, his wife Ann Beck was angry that he had not done something about his cousin William Beck who had killed the tree.
