a. Note:   !OBIT: Monroe H. Martin, 86, master mechanic. Monroe H. Martin, a retired master mechanic and longtime Stoneleigh resident, died Tuesday of acute leukemia at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 86. Born and raised on a farm in Sparks, Mr. Martin attended Baltimore County public schools and left in the seventh grade to help support his family. he joined C.J. Langenfelder and Son Inc., a Baltimore contracting firms, in 1945 as a heavy equipment operator. He was a construction superintendent before he retired in 1986. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Lcoal No. 37 and the Elks Club in Towson. Services will be held at 1pm tomorrow at Ruck Towson Funeral Home, 1050 York Road. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Betty Marguerite Almony; two sons, Maurica Hamilton of Severna Park, and John L.
