a. Note:   <b>Marie Bird,</b> 96, of Amarillo died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Stinnett. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.
  Mrs. Bird was born May 14, 1908, in Weatherford to Callie and John Sublett. She was a longtime resident of Stinnett and recently of Amarillo, where she lived independently until the time of her death.
  She retired from C.R. Anthony Co. in 1971 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Stinnett.
  We have lost a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
  The family expresses a special thanks to the eighth floor BSA nurses, BSA Hospice, Dr. Pillai, Dr. Patel, Dr. Carruth and Susie.
  She was preceded in death by two loving husbands, Herbert Smith in 1941 and Chester Bird in 1987; her parents; and two sisters, Opal Davis and Lydia Berry.
  Survivors include a son, Dale Smith and wife, Ruth, of Amarillo; two daughters, Joyce Howell of Amarillo and Carolyn Arendall and husband, Ronnie, of Cleburne; a sister, Kate Moore of Amarillo; two brothers, Buster Sublett of Hereford and Vernon Sublett of Chouteau, Okla.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
  The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, 600 N. Tyler St., Amarillo, TX 79101; or First Baptist Church of Stinnett, P.O. Box 1316, Stinnett, TX 79083.
