Sarah (Oliver) was born in Virginia, and married John T. Blakeney on January 23, 1810, in Paris, Kentucky. They had 14 children. Two died as infants. Thomas lived for an indefinite period. The others were Martha, William, Hezekiah, John, Nancy, Sarah, Polly, Verlinda, Hugh, James and Angeline. They lived in Bourbon County, Kentucky, until 1828 when they came to Illinois and lived near Brook's Point, now a place only in memory.
