Note:   Houma, LA; Courier Published: Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Last Modified: Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 11:54 a.m. Mavis �Bobby� Orgeron, 76, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, died as a result of an automobile crash, Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to funeral time today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be at 3 p.m. today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
  He is survived by his wife, Bella Duplantis Orgeron; two sons, Lee Orgeron and Joseph Orgeron; one daughter, Ann Brunet; two sisters, Gloria Cannatella and Peggy Cheramie; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Charpentier Orgeron; his parents, Juan Orgeron and Lillia Kieff Orgeron; one brother, Herman Orgeron; and one sister, Dolores Boudreaux.
  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Memorial donations can be made in memory of Mavis Orgeron to Lafourche Parish Library, 16241 E. Main St., Cut Off, LA 70345. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
