Records in Furth im Wald indicate that Georg and Lorenz came from Cham. The records in Cham list the baptismal record of Franz as the first Ulschmid record with Lorenz as his father. Since there was only one Ulschmid family, Lorenz was also the father of Georg, Lorenz, and Walburga.
The Ulschmid name is written in Cham in various ways, and with U and O.
There were no Ulschmid entries beyond the children of Franz (1788).
All records in Cham of this period are written in Latin.
