a. Note:   e Street Inn.He was an agricultural labourer by trade but was best known for rick-building and he could 'hold his own in any and every circumstance'.This extract came from the book 'Reminiscences of Life in the Parish of Street 1844'
  He spent a part of his life living somewhere in High St before moving to Gape Lane (Vestry Rd). He then moved to Teetotal Row (West End) and was there when his grandson Albert was born. At some point he moved to Somerton Road with his third wife (Ann Woodborne).They both appear there in the 1881 Census.
  Solomon was illiterate as he signed his name with an 'x' on Joshua's indentures in 1859.
