I don't know if his middle name was Clopton or not, he never used a middle name in any records. But one of his children is named Thomas Clapton Paslay, Jr. 1779 Enlisted in Army in the Rev. War the 18Feb1779. [ age 17yrs] 1780 Was taken prisoner at the fall of Charleston, SC and taken to the West Indies where he was held prisoner for five yrs. 1784 Was released from prison, War record #W8506 1785 Married Winnefred Adcock. 1786 Left Buckingham by river, landed at Limestone, was at Thomas' station which was Bourbon Co. KY. His sisters and step-father, James Bristow settled in Clarke Co. KY.
