The Dept. of Archives and History in Alabama has a very brief sheet of paper relating to John Richardson. It says he was an Ensign, 7th Marengo Blues, Indian War, 1833. This is from a letter to Gov. C.C. Clay from E.N. Glovin, dated Demopolis, 3 March 1836.
