Note: OBITUARY from Charleston Gazette 1 Oct 1956: BEK, John J. - 75, of 946 Woodward Dr., died yesterday at the home of a daughter after a long illness. He was a former partner of the Triple-State Electric Co., and retired in 1938. He was a member of Bream Memorial Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Matilda Bek; three daughters, Mrs. J. O. Partridge of Marietta, Ohio, and Mrs. Arnold C. Asbury and Mrs. Clark G. Ault, both of Charleston; a sister, Miss Dora Bek of Seward, Neb.; and a brother, C. C. Bek of Winterset, Iowa. The body is at Bartlett mortuary.
