  Rev. J. R. Pressley Had Been Ill For The Last Ten-Year Period
  Following an illness which extended over a ten-year period, Rev. J. R. Pre sley died at five o'clock this morning at his home off the Dyersburg- Newb ern highway.
  Mr. Presley, who engaged in the ministery for a number of years was the fa ther of Rev. Marvin Presley, well known West Tennessee Baptist minister.
  He also is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. M. C. Lee of Obion a nd Mrs. C. M. Melton of Decatur, Georgia; two other sons, Wortham Presl ey and Rufus Presley of Dyersburg.
  Funeral arrangements which are in charge of Holman and Son of Newbern we re incomplete early this afternoon.
