a. Note:   Mrs. W.F. DAVIS Manning, March 7 (1954) (special)-- Mrs. Etta Marie Hodges Davis died at Clarendon Memorial Hospital here today, following a brief illness. Funeral services will take place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fox and Weeks Funeral home Chapel in Savannah. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born Aug. 29, 1886, in Savannah, daughter of the late Paul Hodges and Mrs. Talullah Sharpe Hodges. She was a member of Scotia Baptist Church. She was the widow of William Fletcher Davis. She had lived in Garnet and Hardeeville. At the time of her death, she was making her home at Manning with her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. T. Marion Davis. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs Davis; Mrs. Ernestine Brooks of Savannah. Mrs. Algie Solomons of Estill and Mrs. Louise Davis of Jacksonville; two sons, William Herbert Davis of Savannah and Lewis Fletcher Davis of Hardeeville; a sister, Miss Ella A. Hodges of Savannah; 11 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
