Note: in PA. He practiced medicine in Ephrata, PA. He also served as a postmaster, councilman, burgess, school director, president of Farmer's National Bank, treasurer of Lancaster County, trustee of Harrisburg State Hospital and twice as delegate to the Republican National Convention. In 1947 he received a citation from the American Scenic and Historical Preservation Society. Note: Dr. Mentzer graduated from Juniata College and Jefferson Medical School
