  He left his wife and very young sons to work in Utah for the Bureau of Forestry, probably trying to recreate for himself some of his father's exciting times in the "Old West." He divorced his wife, settled in the San Francisco area , where he was Vice-President of a bank, remarried (Berenice) and died.
