Note:   As a Boy, Dee Brubaker born in 1919 told stories about his Grandfather William Ira Davis (Bill) as well as stories about his Grandma Minnie Baird. One story is that Minnie was a small Woman and that she was very Religious and very fiesty. One rule was that there was no smoking, Chewing or spitten in the house. She wouldnt allow card games or for that matter cards in the house. Another Story was that she had called Dee's dad to come down and hang some wallpaper for her. Now in those days Wallpaper went everywhere instead of the walls. It went on ceilings as well. Grandma Minnie wanted some wallpaper hung on the ceiling and Dee's Dad, Art, said he would be down tomorrow to fix it. But Minnie said No, That wallpaper does not stick on Sundays. Well after talking to Minnie awhile she finally agreed and Art and Dee came down on Sunday to do the job. Art and Dee lived in Keystone, Wells County at the time and they did have a car but it was'nt the greatest of cars always breaking down. So inmagine going from Keystone to Muncie which was about 35 miles. Dee remembers the tire going flat in which they had to stop and fix, then the car would'nt run continuelessly. His dad would blame it on the points but eventually they got there but around Afternoon time. Art and Dee went on to Hang the wallpaper until it got dark and decided to stay the night. Next Morning as they were ready to leave they took one last look in the room where the wallpaper was and sure enough the wallpaper was hanging from the Ceiling, dipped down in the middle. Well Grandma Minnie looked at both of them and said, "See I told you it would'nt stick on Sundays!"
