  Notes on Allen Smith : From Rick and Mary Abbott, April 24, 1999 Allan (take note spelling - Allen) and his wife are found on the 1840 Giles County, Tennessee cenus - a few houses from his father, Elijah, a his brother, Soloman B. Smith. His other brother, Capril Bird Smith, was living in Lawrence County, across the county line.
