Hello-- Stephen and Margaret were my grandmother's maternal grandparents. I have my files at home, but I have info on their 9 children, many dates. (My grandmother lived to 93, so she wrote this stuff down, thank goodness!) Where are you? I live in Louisville. More later--Christa

I did have that, from the 1880 Soundex census for Spencer Co., IN (vol32, ED43, Sheet 12, Line 36)

Had "Emma" Risse married to Mike Wiekel from the 1880 census, but didn't know how much before that. They turned up in the index because one of her Risse brothers was staying with them. RISSE MARGARET 091 HANCOCK 06-08-1927 026 12949 1927 Margaret Fuchs Risse is buried in Lewisport, Hancock, KY. (My mother has a photo of her tombstone) Her dates on the stone read: 18 Jan 1836 -- 8 June 1927. She had been living with one of the kids--have to ask Mom again! Stephen died much earlier, and is buried in Listner Church graveyard, SE of Lamar, Spencer, IN. Haven't been there. He was born around 1830 based on the 1880 Soundex census record. They had 9 children. 1."Emma"--b.1854-5 KY 2. Robert (tombstone photo) 1857--1936 married Rhoda -?- , 1865--1950 3. John b. 1860 Indiana(cf. 1880 census) 4. "Eddie" c.1862 "died young" 5. Henry Julius (tombstone) 1864-1934 twin of 6. "Kate" b. 1864 died in Hawsville KY married -?- Adelman 7. Theodore John (b. 27 Nov. 1866 New Boston, Spencer, IN--d. 14 May 1955 Dearborn Co. IN) married 5 Nov 1896 in Maxville, Spencer, IN Olive Minnie Davis (B. 23 Jan 1876, D.25 Nov 1932, Dearborn Co., IN) They are buried at Mt. Pleasant, near Guilford, IN. 8. August ("Gus" "Gustavus"<in 1880soundex>) [tombstone]7 Jun 1869- 12 Mar 1959 at Hawesville, Hancock, KY. Married 2x. Buried with 2nd. Nola -?- 23 Dec 1869--16 May 1965 9. "Annie" b. c.1872 married -?- Moore some of it isn't much help--I don't have any other info on "Emma"/Wilhemina, for example. My branch is obviously from Theodore's line. Grandma said he worked in the coal mines in Indiana, and thought it was too dangerous, so they left Spencer Co. and moved to Dearborn Co. IN. (the corner by Cincinnati). Will send info on Theo's family next letter, if you like. Happy digging! TTFN--Christa
