H. Williams -- Funeral services for Mrs. CHA Williams were held at the Lebo Methodist Church at 2 o'clock Monday, June 4, 1951 with the rev. B. B. McCallom of the Nazarene church of Eureka officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Chatelain, Mrs. H. A. Dressler and Lee Chatelain sang and were accompanied by Mrs. Lee Chatelain. Casket bearers were nephews; Clyde Mann, Eldon Mann, Eldon Mann, Jr., Raymond Kerr, Harry Kerr and Joe Kerr. The body was laid to rest in the Lincoln cemetery at Lebo. Out of town relatives who attended the services were Clarence Williams and family, Earl Williams and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Mann and family, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Mann and family, and Mrs. Clarence Groat, all of Eureka; Lloyd Williams, Topeka; Mrs. Viola Preston and children, Howard, Wichita; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Madison, Ottawa; Mrs. Arnold Toso, Rothsway, Minn.; Mrs. Margaret Delgado and children, Vallejo, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dossey, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Kerr, Mrs. Frank Wygle, Eureka; Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Kerr, Hilltop; Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Kerr, Matfield Green; Joe M. Kerr, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, Earl Spencer and John Wallace, Blue Mound; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Parten, Beaver; Mrs. opal Thayer and Mrs. Roy Wallace, Emporia; Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Wallace and family, Waverly; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Abel, Carol Lee Abel and Mrs. George Needles, Lawrence Eliza Melissa Mann was born to William and Amanda Mann, November 21, 1893, and passed away June 1, 1951, at the age of 57 years, six months and 11 days. She grew to womanhood in Greenwood County, near Eureka, Kan. She was united in marriage to George L. Dossey, November 17, 1912. To this union four children were born, Mrs. Lillie Caylor, Burlington; Lawrence Dossey, Eureka; Mrs. Margaret Delgado, Vallejo, Calif.; and Mrs. Betty Toso, Rothsway, Minn. Then she was united in marriage to Clarence H. Williams, June 12, 1933. Him having five children, which she mothered and helped to raise to manhood and womanhood. Mrs. Viola Preston, Wichita; Mrs. Estel Stevens, Wichita; Lloyd Williams, Topeka; Mrs. Laura Madison, Ottawa, and Earl Willaims at home. She was a kind, true, loving and devoted wife and mother to each and everyone as if they were all her own. She was a willing and a hard working help mate, and always willing to help and do for others at all times. She was most happy working in God's house and fields. She leaves to mourn many dear ones, her husband, all nine children, 26 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three brothers, Ira, Glenn and Homer of California; five sisters, Susie Smith, Blue Mound, Kan., Maggie Johnson, Billings, Mont., Effie Kerr, Hilltop, Kan., Avis Wygle, Eureka, Kan., and Ruth Parten, Beaver, Kan. Many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends who loved her. Father: William E. Marriage Ending Status: Unknown Note: Vivian Mann Richardson Remembers: I had two bog warts on 2 fingers, mis-shaping my nails. He rubbed them and asked if he could have them; I nodded and forgot about it, unbelieving, but some days or weeks later, I noticed that they were gone. I was about 11 at the time.
