This was not the cause of his death. Note: Buried in the same cemetery as Homer Howard Mann and Ira N. Mann, his brothers. It is said that he was under the Santa Ana bridge with his drinking buddies and was hit by a bus. Family members say he died under a bridge with his pauper buddies but according to his obituary he died in the hospital. His death certificate states he died from a bleeding ulcer and not a bus accident. The bus accident happened before he died. He had tried to sue the city and the bus company but never settled due to circumstances. OBITUARY: Santa Ana Register, February 16, 1960, Pg. B8 Glenn W. Mann, 59, of 2620 W. Chapman Ave., Orange, died Sunday evening in Orange County General Hospital where he had been a patient one day. Born in Eureka, Kansas, December 9, 1900, Mr. Mann moved to Orange 20 years ago. Surviving relatives are his widow, Mrs. Sarah M. Mann of Orange; four daughters, Ruth Blevins of Oxnard, Frances Van Kirk of Santa Ana and Bessie Mann of Orange; two sons, George Mann and Donald Mann, both of Orange; one brother, Ira N. Mann of Santa Ana; five sisters, Maggie Johnson of Billings, Montana, Susie Smith of Blue Mountain, Kansas, Avis Wygle of Eureka, Kansas, Effie Kerr of Walsh, Colorado, Ruth Parton of Beaver, Kansas, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced by the Gillogly-Donegan Funeral Home of Orange. Glenn was a alcoholic and would often follow his brother Homer to the diner and have a few beers. Homer was a alcoholic too but would sober up in order to see his grandchildren. Glenn left Sarah and his children when Don was just a few years old. Sarah and Glenn never divorced. After Glenn had died Sarah never remarried. Father: William E.
