Catherine's father was Mathias John Nink, born 1809 in Erbach, Germany, died 3 Nov 1876 in Pin Oak Community, Bastrop County, Texas. He arrived Indianola, Texas 10 Oct 1846 on the Ship <b><i>Bohemia</b></i>. Her mother was Helen Barbara Rauche. They were married in 1837/1838. Matheas' destination was New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas. Catherine had a brother Matheas John Nink, Jr born 13 Nov 1853 Bastrop, Texas, died 15 Oct 1903 Smithville, Bastrop County, Texas. His wife was Mollie Amelia Speyer. Catherine also had a brother Jacob and sisters Marie, Elizabeth and Margaret. Mathias was in the freight business.
