Notes
a. Note:   south Madison. He married Fanny Alberta Scott (Daughter of Arthur Nelson Scott and Harriet Marie Wheeler) on February 11, 1932. George was involved in a near fatal accident in the 1950's and spent the remainder of his life confined to a wheelchair. However, he remained an active fisherman and hunter and ran a fishing tackle shop from his home in Ashtabula, Ohio for many years. He also made many fishing lures and was very good at telling stories and jokes. As a child, we spent many days at their home. Aunt Bertas cooking was always a treat (especially the apple pies) and I have many fond memories of the days spent at their home. I remember going to the creek and chopping out ice to use in making homemade ice cream, the horses, the fields to run and play in, the well pump for water and of course the outhouse. The old days were hard but so enjoyable and relaxing even as a child.
