Note: Cynthia Brothers was born on Dec. 10th in 1880. She died soon after her first birthday. Following are notices which appeared in the local newspaper in 1882.
We regret being obliged to chronicle the death of another Mr. Brothers' children, his youngest daughter, Cynthia, who since she was rendered an orphan by her mother's death last June, has been adopted by Mr. E. F. Ziebarth. This is the third death that has occured in Mr. Brothers' family within a year. In June last he buried his wife; in November, his son Charles, and last Wednesday another child was taken away by spasms, occassioned by teething. At present there are two others of his children under the doctor's care with throat diesease. We heartily sympathize with the family in affliction.

On Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1882 Cynthia, youngest daughter of J.E. Brothers and adopted child of E. F. Ziebarth, aged 13 months, 3 weeks and 3 days.
