Note: Charles Brothers was born on March 24, 1874 and died on Nov. 17, 1881 at 9 years from brain fever.

Following is the notice of his death reproduced from the Delano Eagle Wright County MN. November 24, 1881 Vol X No. 11
- Mr. Brothers buried his little son, Charles aged 9 years on Wednesday. The child had been ailing for some time past from a complication of cerebral disorders, attended with fever, until death put an end to his sufferings on Monday.
There are records in the local newspapers showing that Charlie attended school, although he never really did very well.
