a. Note:   James was crippled, mute and in ill health. He died about 4:00 a.m. the morning of the 14th of November 1849. His body was cast overboard about 10:00 a.m. the same day. The site was north lattitude 18"20,
 west longitude 66"20. The island Jamaica was in view this day. This account was taken from the journal of Hezekiah Mitchell, passenger on the ship Zetland.
