a. Note:   Benjamin Warren Ayres is the son of Isaac Ayres and Emily Woodruff.
  Benjamin W. Ayres was a colonel in the United States Army and fought through the Black Hawk Indian War. He died in St. Louis abt 1840's and was a city alderman at the time of his death. He never married.
  1820 Census - New York - 16 yrs old
  1830 Census - Ben would be about 26 yrs old
  1840 Census - St. Louis Township, St. Louis, Missouri lists a B. Warren Ayres living with several people as follows: Males: 2 - age 20/30 yrs old, 21 - age 30/40 yrs old, 8 - age 40/50 yrs old, 6 - 50/60 yrs old and the females: 1- 20/30 yrs old, and 2 - 50/60 yrs old. This writers believes that Benjamin Warren could have owned a hotel and these people were living there.
  1850 Census - Benjamin had died by 1850 in St. Louis, Missouri.
