a. Note:   At this time I cannot find the parents of Nils nor his place of birth. The first reference to him is recorded in the marriage record for Högsby Parish in Kalmar län. It records his marriage to Charlotta as though he was well known in the parish. He is refered to as the Häräd's shoemaker. His death record in Mönsterås does not indicate where he was born but does give his age from which we can calculate that he was born in 1749. The same is true for his wife.
