NOTE After much debate in the family concerning their birth place and parents, a knowledgeable German historian suggested that I send for this application for marriage from New York City. The actual marriage document did not have some of this information. The license stated their parents names.and the fact that they were both from Hannover. That led me to the ships records. There were many H. Lindemanns but the birthdate of 1867 was the deciding factor and that I knew he came as a 16 year old. His citizenship papers support that fact.
