a. Note:   while Mom (Edith) Worked at the Hospital. Mam Maw was a Great country cook. She made her own dresses (Without a Pattern). I think she had a hard life, She said that in the old Days Grand Paw Everette Fleming would move the family around a lot following Coal Mine Work. Mam Maw said that she would just get an old shack cleaned up and in a halfway living condition, Grand Paw would come home and say, "I got a better job, so start packing, fore the Wagons a coming to move us! She was a sweet grand Maw! I heard her say one time, that she was the Prettist Girl in Dickenson County, when she was young. Funeral: Elder Raleigh Compton Officiating.
