Notes
a. Note:   Tina, Janet Bailey Bryant" <[email protected]@ipa.net> Where did you get the date of birth for George Daily? Also you have the marriage date for he and his 2nd wife Elizabeth as 14 March 1839 in Blount Co, yet it shows a son George J. born in 1833? It also does not list my ancestor Greenberry H. Daily born 12 March 1835 - died 23 May 1900 in Blount Co. AL. He married on 7 March 1873 Laura Louisa Lucinda Barnes who was born 26 April and died 3 September 1900. Both Greenberry and Laura are buried in Dailey's Chapel Cemetery in Blount Co. AL.
According to information furnished by Joyce McCool, the children of George and Barbara Ratliff Daily are as follows:
  Jeremiah Daily 1818
  John Daily 1820
  Loving Daily 1822
  Anna/Arena/Arra Daily 1823
  Ava/ Avea Daily 1825
  Effie Daily 1826
  Essie/Essa/Espa/ Daily 1830
  Ada/Acha/Aha/Atchey/ Daily 1830
  Emily Daily 1832
  George J. Daily 1834
  Francis A.. Daily 1835
  Greenberry H. 1835
By his 2nd marriage to Elizabeth Box (a widowed sister of Barbara) on 14 March 1839, he had two children,
  Henry F. Daily 1839
  Nelia Daily 1846
George married 3rd Angelico J. Bailes 10 November 1859 in Blount Co. AL and on 21 September 1871 he married 4th Lucinda F. Grubbs.
Taken from the book the Heritage of Blount Co. AL. Submitted by Joyce McCool of Joplin, MO.
Let me know what you think of this and where you got the birth date.

Janet, check out this site and see if this is your Blackwoods or not. It lists Aytchia and it also shows an Anna Daily married to a Robert H. Blackwood. I wonder if this is Aytchia's sister Anna???? Ok, let me know what you think and now my curiosity is peaking!

  Thanks,
  Tina,
After looking back at the photo of the Blackwoods, I find that the name is AYTCHA BLACKWOOD. The children of James and Aytcha are:
From the census of James Blackwood, and his wife Aytcha, children are:
  f. Eliza age 10 1860 census
  m. Robert 8 1860 census age 17 1870 census
  f. Jane 3 1860 census
  m. James 9 1870 census
  m. Wm. 6 1870 census
  f. Bes? 3 1870 census 13 1880 census as Barbara
  f. Nancy 2 1870 census
  m. Henry 8 1880 census
That leaves Oliver, Addie, and Rozella that are listed in The Blackwood Trace as the children of James. Then there is the Susan J. who is listed in the 1900 census. There are two other James Blacwooods who are listed in The Blackwood Trace who are the right age to have been Sudie's or Zuda's husband. One is James Blackwood b. 1858, son of Alfred Ledbetter Blackwood and Nancy Stephens and the other is James Monroe Blackwood son of Joseph Blackwood and Luhaney Rushing. James Monroe married (wife's name not listed) had children listed as Joe -1882-1956, William Isaac, John David, and Wes. It has no date of birth or death for James Monroe, but his father Joseph, (son of Isaac) was born 1835 and died 1962? Think the date of death has to be wrong. I am still checking to see if Oliver, Addie, Rozella and Susan J. are the children of my James Blackwood or another James Blackwood.

  Janet,
I copied a lot of info from other trees off of the internet so I am sure there is a lot of uncertainty in some of the info. I put my tree on the internet without polishing it up first because I got busy with another project and was afraid I would never get it done. I was hoping to hear from cousins like you to correct and fill in some blanks.
Jeremiah, brother to Ayteha, was my gggrandfather. There is info on him at http://www.thedailyhome.com/ . I can't tell you for sure where I found the other info. I was obsessed and downloading everything I could find at the time. It was either thru ancestry.com or familytreemaker.com, they are the ones I have used the most.
I would love for you to send me the info you have so I can make the corrections. It is interesting that you are related thru both sides. I have corresponded with a lot of Dailys since I started my search. By the way, my grandfather changed the spelling to Dailey when they mispelled it on his social security application. He left it that way from then on.
Hope to hear from you soon and I will see if I can find out where I got the info.
  Thanks,
  Tina

  Subject: James Blackwood
  Hello,
I am a descendant of James Blackwood and Ayteha Daily through his some Robert. There are some mistakes on the information in the book, The Blackwood Trace by Julian Blackwood 1979. I am trying to figure out what all of the mistakes are.
I see on the information that you have on the Rootsweb project that you list some children of James and Aytchia as being born in 1881 and 1886. She would have been 51 and 56 at the time of their birth which is highly unlikely. Also I have a picture of the tombstone of James and it list his date of death as 1887. Could you give me your sources so I check further. I believe Addie and Rozella belong to another James Blackwood.
I am also related to Ayteha (on her tombstone) through the Daily's. Thank you very much,
  Cordially,
  Janet Bailey Bryant
