William ROBINSON died leaving children David ROBINSON, the eldest; Ann ROBINSON married to Henry RECTOR Sr; Frances ROBINSON married to William HOWELL; Joseph ROBINSON, and William ROBINSON. David ROBINSON claimed that John RECTOR had appropriated his father's estate; 1787 answer of Catherine, Henry Jr. having died (Frances HOWELL also): when William ROBERTSON died in 1723, her father Charles TAYLOR took in her and the children until "in no very long time" she married RECTOR, who raised the children; court ruled for the defendant.   REF: FAUBION AND ALLIED FAMILIES Buried near Rectortown, Virginia Ref: Germanna Colonies Mail List Henry Rector married Anne Robinson, not Anne Spencer. This has been explained in past notes here and in Beyond Germanna. The Greenveille Library has many issues of Beyond Germanna. Check them out. >Carolyn Whitaker >Greeneville, Tennessee John Blankenbaker

The case also shows that Henry Rector, Sr. (a son of Hans Jacob Richter) was married to Ann(e) Robinson, not to Anne Spencer which had been conjured up to explain the name of their son Spencer. In 1759, Henry Rector, Jr. was a member of the household of Frances Robinson and her husband William Howell. Henry and Frances were probably half-siblings.
