Note:   William John Kennerk (named after his respective uncles in New York) was born in a small cottage on Granby Lane on Monday 16th October 1876and was the first child to be born in Ireland since his brother Michael. He was baptised by Father Bernard Farrell in the Pro-Cathedral inMarlborough Street on 23rd of the month. His was the second of two baptisms in the cathedral that morning, the first being that of a childnamed Helena Flood. Considering the rate of infant mortality it is anoted fact that baptisms were often carried out much sooner than would be considered normal today. William's two godparents were Mary AnneMaguire and a man named Perrin.
c. Note:   Last Will & Testament
  This is the last will of one William Kennerk of 110 Inchicore Road inthe City of Dublin Builder (Retired) hereby revoking all former wills. I appoint my solicitor Roderick F. Tierney and my son in law Michael O'Connor to be the executors and trustees of this my will. I leave to my son Michael Kennerk my watch, my ring and all my clothing. I leave the sum of Twenty Pounds (�20) to my Trustees to be used in their discretion in having masses said for the repose of my soul and the souls of my deceased relatives.
  Of my holding of �1200 Bank of Ireland Stock, I leave to my said son Michael �400 Stock, to my daughter Mary O'Connor likewise �400 Stock and to each of my sons, Patrick, Frank and William Kennerk and my daughter Lily Liston, �100 Stock. I leave the remainder of my property to my Trustees to be divided equally between my said son-in-law Michael O'Connor and my said daughter Mary O'Connor, his wife.
  And I declare that the said Roderick P. Tierney being a solicitor shall be entitled t charge and be paid out of my estate all usual professional charges for work done by him or his firm. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth day of August, 1970
